Fresh Out of Amazing Part I

I’ve started to read a new book on my kindle called Fresh Out of Amazing by Stacey Thacker, and I love it so far.  I want to share some notes I gathered so far from the book. I got up to Chapter 3.

Tiqvah is a Hebrew word for  hope meaning cord, hope, expectations and things hoped for.  So there, I learned a new word from that book :).

Hope is found in Jesus.   God knows what we need to revive and that is through his Spirit.  Our hearts are our home.   It has doors, walls and rooms.   With a heart overhaul,  God makes you move inward, not move on.   It’s always God who starts the work and completes the work with a eternal goal in mind.

Our sense of responsibility  can and should lead us to care but doing so is optional.   Stacey says that Martha is our mirror that is reflecting our image in being fresh out of amazing.  We are to let Jesus serve us with His word.   Christ’s visit to us are his tokens of love.   Keeping company with Jesus brings light and life in everything, good and bad situations.   We are to be more spiritual. Be more like Mary.  We are to have more of a heart of devotion rather than a heart of duty.   We aren’t to doubt our value. We are valuable always to Jesus.  He understands our hurt and that is a blessing of a great value.

Being fresh out of amazing is our opportunity to see God be big.   We are to be strong and courageous.  We are to live loved.  God is love.  God matters.  We are to look to connect with God and other woman knowing that you are not alone and this also builds bridges.

I will be back with more tidbits of this awesome book soon.  Stay tuned 🙂
