Honestly, guys can be physically attracted to a women’s appearance, and feel like they want to sleep with that person, and want be married to that person. Seriously though a lot of guys need to remember that they have to really go deeper than that. To really respect a woman beyond their outer appearance. And really appreciate and love them for who they are. They truly admire women who are actually lady-like. That they are modest about everything, not just physically.
I am working on being more lady like all the time especially in my marriage. I grew up with brothers, but I was never a tomboy. That wasn’t my nature. My mom taught me to how to act like a lady, but not with everything. She trusted me enough in my teens to make my choices in how I acted, and etc. We’re all never perfect. That is what Christ is for. We are forgiven even when we don’t deserve it.
Being ladylike is defined as Polite. Polished. Respectable. Well-mannered. Sophisticated. Elegant. Modest. Manners of being a Proverbs 31 woman.
The more you are lady like, the more guys will be more willing to be beyond “boys”. They can be more gentleman towards you.
Being lady like as a Christian is also acting as the fruit of the spirit as well. That means:
” But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” Galatians 5:22-23.
Also we are to submit too. We lay down our lives for Christ. We are focused on Him first. Then we focus on the needs of others before ourselves.
So in your marriage, you can act in the Fruit of the Spirit and ladylike too. After going to Christ first, you can be lady like wife towards your husband. And being that for everybody else as well. You are the bride of the church and your husband.
It’s a wonderful thing to have. It’s a daily character that is a work in a progress for me. Don’t forget that your needs are also met by God fully, and also with your husband. You are worthy.
I am blessed that my husband has chosen to love me for me, and appreciates that I’m still growing in Christ and as his wife as well.
