Biblical Verses Highlighted This Summer

I am sharing more scriptures, picking up from where I left off a couple months ago.  Highlighted from my bible app over this summer, You Version Bible.  So enjoy!

  • Your heart will be where your treasure is–Matthew 6:21
  • Enjoy serving the Lord, and he will give you whatever you ask for–Psalm 37:4
  • Turn into the Lord for help in everything you do, and you will be successful–Proverbs 16:3
  • Faithful love and loyalty will remove your guilt. Respect the Lord, and you will stay far away from evil–Proverbs 16:6
  • Wisdom is worth much more than gold. Understanding is worth much more than silver–Proverbs 16:16
  • Gray hair is a crown of glory on people who have lived good lives. It is earned by living right–Proverbs  16:31
  • In Christ we come before God with freedom and without fear. We can do this because of our faith in Christ–Ephesians 3:12
  • To respect the Lord means to hate evil. I hate pride and boasting, evil lives and hurtful words–Proverbs 8:13
  • We live in this world, but we don’t fight our battles in the same way the world does–2 Corinthians 10:3
  • We are still alive because the Lord’s faithful love never ends–Lamentations 3:22
  • Live like free people, but don’t use your freedom as an excuse to do evil. Live as those who are serving God–1 Peter 2:16
  • It is better to trust in the Lord than to trust in people–Psalms 118:8
  • Always be full of joy. Never stop praying.  Whatever happens, always be thankful.  This is how God wants you to live in Christ Jesus–1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
  • When anyone is in Christ, it is a whole new world. The old things are gone; suddenly everything is new–2 Corinthians 5:17
  • Be careful. Hold firmly to your faith. Have courage and be strong. Do everything in love–1 Corinthians 16:-13-14
  • So be very careful how you live. Live wisely, not like fools. I mean that you should use every opportunity you have for doing good, because these are evil times.  So don’t be foolish with your lives, but learn what the Lord wants you to do–Ephesians 5:15-17
  • You must be made new in your hearts and in your thinking–Ephesians 4:23
  • Depend on the Lord. Trust in him, and he will help you–Psalms 37:5
  • Most important of all, love each other deeply, because love makes you willing to forgive many sins–1 Peter 4:8
  • Give all your worries to him, because he cares for you–1 Peter 5:7
  • If you let that patience work in you, the end result will be good. You will be mature and complete. You will be all that God wants you to be–James 1:4
  • Faith is what makes real the things we hope for. It is proof of what we cannot see–Hebrews 11:1
  • I pray that the God who gives hope will fill you with much joy and peace as you trust in him. Then you will have more and more hope, and it will flow out of you by the power of the Holy Spirit–Romans 15:13
  • So if you eat, or if you drink, or if you do anything, do it for the glory of God– 1 Corinthians 10:31
  • But the fruit that the Spirit produces in a person’s life is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these kind of things–Galatians 5:22-23
  • Don’t judge others, and God will not judge you–Matthew 7:1
  • Your perfume smells wonderful, but your name is sweeter than the best perfume. That is why the young women love you–Song of Songs 1:3
  • My darling, you are beautiful all over. Every part of you is perfect.–Song of Songs 4:7
  • So I tell you, live the way the Spirit leads you. Then you will not do the evil things your sinful self wants–Galatians 5:16
  • All of you together are the body of Christ. Each one of you is a part of that body–1 Corinthians 12:27
  • So we know the love that God has for us, and we trust that love. God is love.  Everyone who lives in love lives in God, and God lives in them–1 John 4:16
  • Love wisdom and she will make you great. Hold on to wisdom, and she will bring you honor–Proverbs 4:8
  • We love because God first loved us–1 John 4:19
  • So be humble under God’s powerful hand. Then he will lift you up when the right time comes–1 Peter 5:6
  • But sexual sin is a danger, so each man should enjoy his own wife, and each woman should enjoy her own husband–1 Corinthians 7:2
  • Don’t be angry with each other,but forgive each other. If you feel someone has wronged you, forgive them. Forgive  others because the Lord forgave you–Colossians 3:13
  • I will say “Your faithful love will last forever. Your loyalty is like the sky–there is no end to it!”–Psalms 89:2
  • even there you will take my hand and lead me. Your strong right hand will protect me– Psalms 139:10
  • True love is God’s love for us, not our love for God. He sent his Son as the way to take away our sins–1 John 4:10
  • We should think about each other to see how we can encourage each other to show love and do good works–Hebrews 10:24
  • Honor and glory to the King who rules forever. He cannot be destroyed and cannot be seen. Honor and glory forever and ever to the only God.  Amen–1 Timothy 1:17
  • Hatred causes arguments, but love overlooks all wrongs–Proverbs 10:12
