Additional Bibical Verses

I’m resuming the list of biblical verses that I’ve left off from last post at the end of April. I find the ones that I like from my bible app that I use on my phone.  Here’s what I have liked since then.

  • In whatever you do, don’t let selfishness or pride by your guide. Be humble, and honor others more than yourselves–Philippians 2:3
  • Think about what we have in Christ: the encouragement he has brought us, the comfort of his love, our sharing in his Spirit, and the mercy and kindness he has shown us. If you enjoy these blessings, then do what will make my joy complete: agree with each other, and show your love for each other. Be united in your goals and in the way you think–Philippians 2:1-2
  • So encourage each other and help each other grow stronger in faith, just as you are already doing–1 Thessalonians 5:11
  • As one piece of iron sharpens another, so friends keep each other sharp–Proverbs 27:17
  • So don’t worry about tomorrow. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Tomorrow will have its own worries–Matthew 6:34
  • Don’t be interested only in your own life, but care about the lives of others too–Philippians 2:4
  • The Lord will lead you. He himself is with you. He will not fail you or leave you. Don’t worry.  Don’t be afraid!–Deuteronomy 31:8

  • I pray that the faith you share will make you understand every blessing we have in Christ–Philemon 1:6
  • It is through him that we are able to live, to do what we do, and to be who we are. As your own poets have said, “We all come from him”–Acts 17:28

  • Don’t worry–I am with you. Don’t be afraid–I am your God. I will make you strong and help you. I will support you with my right hand that brings victory–Isaiah 41:10
  • We must never stop looking to Jesus. He is the leader of our faith, and he is the one who makes our faith complete. He suffered death on a cross as if it were nothing because of the joy he could see waiting for him. And now he is sitting at the right side of God’s throne–Hebrews 12:2
  • People can plan what they want to do, but it is the Lord who guides their steps–Proverbs 16:9
  • Try to live in peace with everyone. And try to keep your lives free from sin. Anyone whose life is not holy will never see the Lord–Hebrews 12:14
